Ajayraj “AJ” has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and medical IT, spanning architecture, product leadership, and executive management.
His career includes senior roles at Philips, Siemens Healthineers, and GE Healthcare, where he led enterprise architectures, large engineering teams, and globally deployed healthcare platforms. He also served as Chief Technology Officer at m.Doc GmbH, combining executive leadership with Chief Architect responsibilities, managing large R&D organizations, strategic programs, and multimillion-euro budgets.
Across these roles, AJ has worked extensively on healthcare platforms, cloud-native and hybrid architectures, AI and imaging solutions, interoperability, and large-scale system integrations.
As Chief Architect, he focuses on defining clear architectural vision, enabling scalable, interoperable, and future-ready healthcare systems, and aligning technology strategy with real-world clinical and business needs.
My Story
My journey in healthcare technology spans more than two decades, shaped by a deep curiosity for complex systems and a strong belief that technology should solve real problems—especially in healthcare, where reliability and trust matter most.
I began my career as a technologist working on enterprise-scale systems, and over time, I found myself increasingly drawn to the healthcare domain. What started as a technical challenge soon became a mission: building platforms that could operate at scale, integrate seamlessly across ecosystems, and genuinely support clinicians and healthcare organizations in their daily work.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s most respected healthcare technology companies, including GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthineers, and Philips. In these roles, I led large engineering teams, worked on globally deployed medical products, and designed architectures that had to meet the highest standards of performance, security, and regulatory compliance.
A defining chapter of my journey was serving as Chief Technology Officer at m.Doc GmbH, where I combined executive leadership with hands-on architectural responsibility. Building and leading large R&D organizations, managing multimillion-euro budgets, and shaping digital health platforms at national scale gave me a holistic view of how technology, business, and healthcare realities must align for long-term success.
Today, as Chief Architect at Sanbav, my focus is on defining a clear architectural vision and enabling scalable, interoperable, and future-ready healthcare platforms. I work at the intersection of cloud-native architectures, AI-enabled solutions, healthcare interoperability, and enterprise integration, always with an emphasis on pragmatic execution over theory.
What drives me is not technology for its own sake, but technology that works in the real world—systems that evolve gracefully, support people under pressure, and stand the test of time. I believe strong architecture is less about tools and more about clarity, responsibility, and enabling teams to build with confidence.
